It's So Much Fun Not Knowing Where You're Going
Tuesday, May 21, 2019 Navy Recruiting District Raleigh Navy Recruiter Aaron Ford came to Ms. Mondry’s first period Journalism class. The class discussed the benefits and needs for men and women in the Navy.
Ford started off the intervention by telling us the job he does in the Navy. He’s told the class he was and aircraft director telling pilots where and how to land. Students were also informed that going to the Navy could help with your training and education.
Students asked what are the benefits? Joining the Navy includes, free medical care, discounts, military housing, and there’s more but the most important one discussed was free education.
Unlike, going to college. The Navy gives you the training and education some people need in order to get a job in the field that they like. Ford stated, “I didn’t know what I wanted to do after high school. I majored in business management. It is a good degree, but I had a hard time finding a job. Most places look for experience.”
So imagine going through all that college and debt not being able to do what you want. Which is why it would be a good idea to at least consider going to the military.
Ford left us with an inspirational quote, “The sky’s the limit.”
