Junior Yamako Wood says that “when the announcements come on about the student creed he

believes that he is the best”. “When I begin thinking I am the best” Jazmyne Jefferson says that “it’s nice to hear someone encouraging you.” Hillside Junior Jaylin Burnett, pictured above, says that the school creed makes him “have a positive mindset, helps him stay focused, and think about the future”. Veejay Gunter, says that it makes him “feel like the announcers care about their students”. A lot of students here at HHS and HSNT feel like the Student Creed helps them in a way of encouragement or a nice motivation to start off students day in the morning. Dr. Logan feels like the students should have some type of encouragement from someone to keep them motivated during school everyday so that is why he has Mccoy say the Student Creed every morning following him saying “let’s make it a great day Hornets” or “have a blessed day Hornets”. Some students may not pay a lot of attention to the Student Creed and probably don’t think it’s really beneficial but they appreciate it being said every morning. HHS and HSNT will always encourage their students everyday.
