Welcome Back to Hillside Coach Harrison

Coach King who stepped down as Hillside Football Coach will be Coaching at East Carolina University. King took over as Head Coach in the year of 2009 when coach Harrison stepped down because of family time and switching Jobs. Once King stepped down in January of 2015 Hillside was without a football coach. Dr. Logan made it duty to find Hillside a Head Football Coach. Dr. Logan stated that Harrison was “selected by parents, teachers, and also administrators staff’ “There was over 25 people who applied for the job which was cut down to 12 people’’ Dr. Logan said. It was a unanimous decision amongst the panel members to choose Coach Harrison as the new Head Football Coach.

Coach Harrison has been coaching football for 13 years throughout his life. When asked what was Coach vision for the football program he responded. ‘’ he wants to see the young men grow as product young men’’. Coach Harrison also stated that ‘’the young men of the football team will show outstanding academics when walking through Hillside High School. When asked how he could make the football program better he stated ‘’ starting off with disciple and making sure the young men are overtaken in life skill not so football in one and making sure kids are set for life’’. It seems as if Coach Harrison will make the Hillside High School Football program better as one and his ultimate goal is to better the young men that play for him as well. It should be an exciting season for the Hillside Football Program.
